Research shows that when students use a word in as many different ways that they can, their brain will make more connections and will learn the meaning of the word faster. Use these different contexts to help get new words to stick! Review the first work sheet for several sessions with some simple practice words.Print page 2 for each new vocab set. Print off multiple copies of page 3 for each word you learn. Three hole punch and place into a binder for nice vocab book to help students study. Teach the study skill of using the word in many different ways until the student is independently able to use words from academic curriculum to teach themselves!
